The Journey of Woods and Wool: One-Year Anniversary

The Beginning

It’s been one year since Woods and Wool began, and I can’t believe how amazing this journey has been. This started as a venture that would encompass my passion for photography, crochet, and creative business and grown into a love for something so much more.

I look back to where I started and I never expected to be where I am now. Some of my favorite accomplishments are the release of my first pattern, collaborating with an amazing designer and brand for my second pattern, and starting this website.

The Best Part

But you want to know the best part? I never expected to find the friendship that I have in the maker community. And I’m not just talking about “friends” on the internet, I’m talking about real friends. People I talk to daily. The ones that support me through every endeavor and challenge. The ones who I meet with monthly for sip and stitches. The ones who will text/call/message when you need them. I really never knew this type of community and friendship existed from people you met on a little app called Instagram, but it does exist… and I’m so glad I found it.

The Best is Yet to Come

So what’s next? I found a quote today that said, “I didn’t come this far to only come this far.” That’s exactly how I feel. As I close out the first year of Woods and Wool, and the last month of 2017, I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come. If you’re curious and want to come along for the journey to see what’s next, make sure you’re on my email list so we can stay in touch. It’s going to be amazing and I can’t wait share it with all of you.

Whatever your passion is, know that the sky is the limit. If you’re willing to put the work in, you can take your craft to places you never dreamed of… you just have to start somewhere.

“I didn’t come this far to only come this far.”
